The paper, “Reservoir Permeability Evolution in Sand Producing Wells”, has been developed by joint efforts with Centrica Energy engineers and has been selected to be presented at the Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition held in Lagos. NAICE is the flagship technical event of the oil & gas industry in Nigeria & Sub Saharan Africa. The presentation describes the Sand Production and Pore Pressure Management Program, which is implemented to control sand production and maintain hydrocarbon production. Additionally, it presents an analysis of how the near wellbore porosity and permeability changes are consistent with a change from compaction to dilatancy conditions near the wellbore. These changes have led to increase production and extension of filed life.
